The Lifeline Assistance Program and Link-Up Georgia offer assistance to qualified residential telephone customers, and are designed to ensure that the basic telephone connection and service remain affordable to all residents of Georgia.

Consumers who are currently recipients of benefits from any one of the following low-income assistance programs are eligible to receive Lifeline and/or Link-Up assistance:

  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Food Stamps
  • Medicaid
  • Senior citizen low income discount plan offered by the local gas or power company
  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)

The Lifeline Program is only available to one phone per household.
