Rock Hawk


Rock Hawk is located 12 miles east of downtown Eatonton on Georgia Highway 16.  The Rock Hawk Effigy is a mound of milky quartz that is in the shape of a hawk believed to have been created by Native Americans.

In addition to the effigy, there are 25 miles of trails at Rock Hawk.  Other recreational opportunities include camping, boating, fishing, archery (3-D & static plus limited hunting), beach, hiking and biking, and nature walking.
